♡ New E.L.F. Goodies ♡

Hey Hey Chickies,

I got some new E.L.F. products in the mail last week and after having a play with them I thought I would show you guys what I got and let you know some thoughts on them.

Only three products this time, one was a re-buy and the other two were items I've been wanting to try for awhile now :o)

I got them from the Australian e.l.f. website.

Firstly, I got the
e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder
AU$18.95

What the box says:
The high definition loose powder creates a "soft focus" effect to the skin.
Masks fine lines and imperfections for a radiant complexion.
The incredibly soft and invisible powder is great for on screen and everyday wear

I've been using this Powder over the past week and I really like it. I only use powder when I'm going out at night and sometimes in the day over summer to avoid shine. But I also wanted to see how it performed in front of the camera which I haven't tested yet - I'll report back with how it goes!!

It is an extremely smooth formulation - once you apply it to your face you can straight away notice the softness and when you touch your face it's very smooth. I made the mistake of spilling a little on our wooden floors (as you do, ha) and the floor got very slippery, so it
works well!! :o)

Next up I got the
e.l.f. Studio Conditioning Lip Balm
AU$9.99

In the colour: Nice and Natural

What the box says:
SPF 15
Vitamins A & E
Relieves and soothes lips with a drench of moisture.
Softens lips to prevent and temporarily protect against
chapped, cracked or chafed lips.

Firstly, I love the colour!! It's such a pretty nude
and I think it would look good on any complexion.

The fact that it has an SPF is a bonus and it really does feel like it nourishes the lips and leaves them feeling soft.
There is no distinct smell or flavour which is good.
The packaging is cute!!
And it lasts well on my lips.

Lastly I got another
e.l.f. Studio Powder Brush
AU$9.99

What the packaging says:
This Taklon brush can be used with wet or dry products.
Full coverage color.

This is my second purchase of this brush - I love it!!
I use it for my liquid foundation application.
It works well to buff the foundation to make it look flawless.
I recently purchased online the MUG Deluxe Foundation Stippling Brush so I'm looking forward to see how they compare :o)

Anyways, enough of my rambling!!

Have you guys tried any of these products?
Do you like them too?

Hope you're all having a lovely day,

Models Prefer: Eye Brightener

Hey Hey Lovely Ladies,

Hope you're doing well :o)

I wanted to share with you one of my new Fav Makeup Items.... The new Models Prefer Eye Brightener!!

First of all, I'm loving the Models Prefer Makeup range here in Australia - they are stocked in Priceline. They have a wonderful range of products and it's definitely worthwhile checking out their Makeup Brushes....

One of their new lines is called "Prime and Perfect", which includes the following items:

♥ Corrector Pen - RRP $9.99
 Brow Highlighter - RRP $9.99
 Lip Primer - RRP $9.99
 Eye Primer - RRP $12.99
 Eye Brightener - RRP $12.99

So far I've only tried the Eye Brightener, as that's what I was after, but I'm going to try more of the Prime and Perfect collection very soon.

The new range is very similar to MAC's Prep & Prime collection. I have 3 x MAC P&P Highlighters and the MAC P&P Vibrancy Eye Primer which I love but when I started using the MP (Models Prefer) Eye Brightener I found I started to reach for it more often. Also.... who can go past the price?! Here in Australia a MAC P&P Highlighter sells for around $42 whereas the MP Eye Brightener is $12.99.

So here is what Models Prefer say about the Eye Brightener:

"Gently conceals imperfections while the light-diffusing pigments soften the appearance of dark under-eye circles. The soft and creamy formula is long lasting for more than 4 hours. It's quick drying, non-greasy, smudge-proof and conditioning for a perfect skin tone. A paint brush applicator that is easy to use and blend."

I'll have to say that I agree with everything they say, it's very long lasting, definitely non-greasy,  very light weight and creamy and conceals dark circles perfectly. It has no scent.

Here are some swatches:

Blended:

It is made in Europe and Imported for Priceline:

As the description says, it has a brush applicator and you just twist the pen to dispense the product:

I used this Eye Brightener in my last "Get Ready With Me" video:

As you can see from the video, I use it under my eyes and on top of my cheek bones. I always see a difference with wearing it during the day - it gives you that wide awake look - which I'm sure we're all after!! :o)

It is definitely a product worth checking out - I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the MP Prime and Perfect collection!!

Let me know if you have any questions

LUSH: Brazened Honey Mask

Hey Hey Chickadees!!

Hope you're all well :o)

As most of you know, Lush is one of my go-to brands and I like trying out their products one by one haha. One of my new favs is the Brazened Honey Face Mask. Thought I would post some info and thoughts on it.

How it's described:

A powerhouse of effective ingredients for all tired skins, exfoliating, detoxifying, stimulating and nourishing. Refreshing herbs and fruit juice are blended with warming ayurvedic herbs and spices. With ground almonds to polish and moisturising honey, this blend leaves the skin vibrant and re-vitalised.

How to:

Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for five to ten minutes then rinse with warm water massaging gently.
Keep chilled.
Lasts up to three weeks.

This mask leaves my skin so soft and smooth. I love masks that have an exfoliating finish to them as it's doing two necessities at once :o)  It has a very organic smell and as you can see a yellow colour to it.

Lush advises to keep it in the fridge, chilled. That's fine, but when you apply it in the cool weather we're having now in Australia it's not too endearing ha - it would be great to use in the warmer months as a cooling and refreshing mask :o)

I got the 75g jar as it's good for up to 3 weeks - it was $15.95 AUD.

All in all it's my new fav and I absolutely love the soft feeling it gives to my skin - yay!!

Any questions, let me know!!

DIY: Cavier Manicure Nails

Hey Hey Spunky Ladies!!

Hope you're having a lovely day :o)

I posted on my Facebook page the other day that I wanted to try out the new Cavier Nail Trend. The Ciate Cavier Pearls (as pictured below) aren't available in stores in Australia yet so I thought I would pick up some Micro Beads from my local craft store in the meantime.

This is what you need to achieve the look:

1.  Your fav nail polish
(I was still deciding between the mint or pink.... haha)
2.  Micro beads - which you can get in different colours
3.  Clear nail polish

Apply two coats of your fav nail polish
And let them totally dry before going on to next step

Once they've totally dried, apply one coat of the clear nail polish

And then dip your finger in the Micro Beads

This is what it looks after,
I gently pushed down on the Micro Beads so that they stuck properly
and applied another clear coat over the top

I finished dipping the rest of my nails
and this is the finished look

So.... The verdict.... I don't mind the look but I think I would just stick to one accent Cavier nail on each hand as it can look over powering on all nails.

They seem to last well, although, you get the odd bead popping off here and there :o)

And you can just remove them with normal nail polish remover.

What do you guys think of the trend and have you tried it out?

Let me know if you have any questions and hope you're having a lovely day!!
